I'm sure you've heard a lot about The Ivy. I knew the place from Los Angeles but never went to any of their locations in London. They have several restaurant like in Soho, Covent Garden or Kensington. They are all beautiful but we decided to have an afternoon tea at their Chelsea Garden location. The backyard is just stunning and especially great during spring/summer. The interior decor is also very cozy. Make sure to book in advance (Opentable). We had a light lunch followed by the afternoon tea. Prices are on the upper level but not too pricey. You should go for the atmosphere rather than for the food. Have a look at the menu here.
